
A large quantity of heroin has been seized at 1 No. Chungajan on the Assam-Nagaland border in the sarupathar area. The heroin was confiscated during a joint operation by Golaghat district police, 155 CRPF, and Karbi Anglong police.

The drugs were found hidden in a modified fuel tank of a vehicle traveling from Manipur to Tezpur. The police recovered approximately 460.66 grams of heroin concealed in 40 boxes of soap, with an estimated market value of around 3 crore rupees. The arrested suppliers are Ikramul Haque and Imdazul Haque from Morigaon.
