On Friday, the Khokhati police in the Assam-Nagaland border area managed to apprehend a supplier with three pistols and live ammunition. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Officer In-charge Nitul Saikia from the Khokhati police station, along with station staff, conducted a search near the Loknath temple in Karagao. They intercepted an individual who was approaching the village while carrying a hand bag from the direction of Borlengri in Karbi Anglong District.

During a search operation, the police recovered three pistols, live ammunition, and magazines from a location. Among the items found were an Italian-made 7.65 pistol with a magazine, a Japanese-made .22 caliber pistol with a magazine, and another .22 caliber pistol with a magazine.
It has been reported that the recovered pistols, live bullets, and magazines were seized in the presence of Bokaijan Sub-Division police officer Rustamraj Brahma and impartial witnesses. On the other hand, in connection with the supply of these pistols, police have detained Nabina Das, also known as Prashant Das, the son of Jatin Das from the Puli Bor police station area in jorhat, and the investigation is ongoing.
