The Golaghat Police have successfully dismantled yet another drug trafficking ring in the Sarupathar region. Through meticulous planning and execution, law enforcement officials confiscated a significant haul of heroin, weighing in at 654 grams.

The illicit substance was cleverly hidden in 55 soap boxes, a method increasingly used by traffickers to evade detection. This substantial seizure has once again highlighted the relentless efforts of the police force to combat the burgeoning drug trade in the region.
Three individuals, deeply entrenched in the drug trafficking network, have been apprehended. The arrests followed a comprehensive and systematic investigation, underscoring the police’s commitment to curbing the drug menace. Upon rigorous interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to possessing the heroin. This admission led to an exhaustive search of the premises, where the contraband was ultimately discovered and seized.
The drugs, which were traced back to a neighboring state, have an estimated market value of ₹3 crore. Authorities believe this substantial quantity was intended for distribution within multiple localities, posing a severe threat to public health and safety.
