The Cachar police have achieved significant success against drugs. Based on confidential information, they conducted two separate operations in the areas of Ram Prasadpur and Lakshipur within the Dhalai police station’s jurisdiction.
During this operation, the police arrested six drug traffickers and seized 150 soap boxes filled with heroin. From these boxes, approximately 1.9 kilograms of suspected heroin were confiscated. The police have estimated the value of the seized heroin to be around 9.5 crore rupees. The heroin was supplied from the Churachandpur district of Manipur.
The police arrested six individuals from two locations on charges of illegal heroin distribution. The arrested individuals include Bintu Singh from Lakshipur Phulartal and Daniel Lallrieghet (26), Rajen Singh (41) from Dhalai Lantugram, Ekbar Hussein (23) from Manipur Jiribam, and Borjohana Mar (27).
In addition, the police have arrested 24-year-old Robert Lalmalsawna from Ferzawl district in Manipur. They have also seized a scooter and a Maruti Jimny vehicle used for drug trafficking. Currently, the arrested individuals are being interrogated at Dhalai and Lakhipur police stations.
