In a shocking turn of events that has sent ripples of concern throughout the community, two lifeless bodies were discovered inside a house in the village of Jar Tokbi, located within the jurisdiction of Khotkoti Police Station in Bokajan. This distressing incident occurred amidst the festive celebrations of Mahalaya, casting a shadow over the entire region.
The deceased have been identified as Manoj Chettri and a 21-year-old from Nothang village named Isaac Purty. The local police, who arrived promptly at the scene, recovered syringes from the location, leading them to suspect that the deaths were likely due to excessive drug use. However, the precise cause of death will only be confirmed after the post-mortem examination.
The bodies have already been sent to Diphu Medical College for a thorough autopsy. The police are currently awaiting the results to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to this heartbreaking event.
