Diphu: At a time when authority is trying its best to contain with the spread of the dreaded disease, a section of people are exploiting illegal means to break lockdown norms.
Report from West Karbi Anglong’s Kheroni locality has stated that local police intercepted two country boats allegedly for cruising illigally from Sildubi ghat to some unknown destination of West Karbi Anglong through Kopili River amid lockdown yesterday.
According to police the boatmen violated all norms issued by the government to curtail the spread of corona-virus. “They have put themselves and the passengers at risk of contracting the dreaded disease” police said.
