A grenade-throwing incident was reported on Monday afternoon in Karbi Anglong district, at Dhanashiri’s Rongapahar Siding on the Assam–Nagaland border, where railway work was underway.
According to preliminary information, an unidentified assailant hurled the device at the work site, it failed to detonate. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. A police team is en route, and the district’s senior-most police official has also left for the location to oversee the response.
