
On Tuesday morning at around 8:30, the police in Dilai, under the Bokajan sub-division in Karbi Anglong, managed to apprehend two suppliers with approximately 8 crore rupees worth of cannabis during a routine checkpoint search.

Under the leadership of Officer Akash Gogoi and with the assistance of the police staff, the Dilai police managed to seize 148 packets containing 147.25 kg of marijuana. The drugs were hidden in a secret compartment of a container truck with the registration number RJ18GB 0126 during a routine checkpoint inspection.
The market value of cannabis is estimated to be around Rupees 8 crore . The police have detained Dildar, the son of Jafar Ali from the Rajasthan Jhunjhunu area involved in the cannabis supply, and Ajay Kumar, the son of Krishna Kumar from the Haryana Chircha district, and are continuing their interrogation.
Sources from the police indicate that the seized cannabis was confiscated in the presence of neutral witnesses and a case has been registered under the relevant legal provisions.
