Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has made a stunning revelation, revealing that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has uncovered a significant link between Pakistan and certain individuals in India. The SIT, established by Assam Police Director General (DGP) to investigate the alleged Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) case involving Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi’s wife and a Pakistani national, has been working diligently to unravel the complex web of allegations.
The SIT, comprising M. P. Gupta, IPS, Pranabjyoti Goswami, IPS, Rosie Kalita, APS, and Moitrayee Deka, APS, is exploring the charges of Sections 48, 61, 152, and 197(1) of the IPC, as well as Section 13(1) of the UAPA, which pertain to unlawful activities and other criminal conduct. As the investigation continues, the team is expected to submit their findings by September 2025.

According to the Chief Minister, the SIT has established a close link between Pakistan and certain individuals in India, which will likely have significant implications for the case. While the exact nature of this connection is yet to be disclosed, it is clear that the investigation has been meticulously planned to ensure a professional and objective probe. The SIT has been authorized to co-opt Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and Constables as necessary, pending approval from the Assam Police Headquarters.

The case, registered at the CID Police Station as CID PS Case No. 05/25, has raised alarm in the state, with many intrigued by the allegations. As the Special Investigation Team continues to dig deeper, it remains to be seen what other revelations will emerge, but one thing is certain – the people of Assam are eager to know the truth.
The Chief Minister’s statement has sparked widespread interest, with many curious to learn more about the link between Pakistan and Indian individuals. As the investigation unfolds, it is crucial to remember the SIT’s mandate to conduct a fair and thorough inquiry, unimpeded by external pressures or biases.
