In a successful anti-drug operation in Bongaigaon district, the police teams from Abhayapuri and Borghola, with assistance from the CRPF, apprehended a suspected heroin supplier on December 3 in Kahibari, Abhayapuri. The suspect, identified as Sarwar Alam from Gerukabari, was caught in possession of approximately 11 grams of suspected heroin. Additionally, authorities seized a mobile phone and Rs 900 during the raid.
The operation was launched following a tip-off, highlighting the police’s ongoing commitment to combating drug-related activities in the region. Investigations into the case are currently underway to further dismantle illicit drug networks.
