“The historic Treaty of Yandabu, 1826 will complete its 200 years’ term on next 31st December, 2025. Already the North East is assembled and is ready to grasp a new political change to make an end of the enormous disrespect, deceits and negligence received from India”.

The protest was arranged by Mamata Gogoi and opened by the speech of Jitu Sarmah Rajkhowa, the President of Assam State Journalists Association. Rajkhowa analyzed the enormities of the Act. Dr. Ramanand Das, the Chairman of Asom Anusuchit Jati Parishad also inspired the public by his rousing speech.
