Bakaliaghat : Many people were injured as two groups of people indulged in a clash at Bakaliaghat today. According to sources a youth was beaten by some people this morning at Bakaliaghat market.
Following the incident some other people gathered at the market area. The enraged people vandalized a shop in the market and physically assaulted another three persons. Excitement was increased as hundreds of people started gathering.
Meanwhile another boy also got cut injury as the two groups indulged in combat. Senior police officials rushed to the area and tried to negotiate. Among that situation some people started stone pelting at the vehicles used by the security personal.
Police also retaliated with rubber bullet, tear gas and blank fire. As a result some people got injured and were brought to hospital. Situation is still remained tense.
