Three women have died at Dibrugarh’s Assam Medical College Hospital on Tuesday following the death of four persons on Monday after they had eaten wild mushrooms in Charaideo district recently, an official said.
Eight people had fallen ill after eating mushrooms at Laltipathar village in Sonari town of the district on April six and seven of them have died since then.
All the affected were admitted to the AMCH in Dibrugarh in a critical condition and three women died today while four, two women and children each, of them had succumbed
All the affected were women tea garden workers and their children.
The three women who died today are 24-year old Champa Karmakar, 19-year old Sarumai Karmakar and 40-year old Rita Keot. dead include
The women had picked up the mushrooms while returning from work in the tea gardens and had cooked it for their children and themselves.
