In the Meghalaya honeymoon case, three suspects have been detained from Indore and its surrounding areas in Madhya Pradesh in connection with the murder of Raja Raghuwanshi, a 29-year-old transport businessman. A search is currently underway for a fourth suspect. Meanwhile, a wedding video of Raja has surfaced, showcasing his joy during the celebrations.

This video captures Raja during his wedding events, where he is seen recording moments with family members, including his sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. Relatives have expressed that Raja was enthusiastic and delighted about his marriage.
On June 9, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotia informed the media that a joint operation conducted by the Indore Police and Meghalaya Police led to the detention of the suspects. The individuals identified are Raj Kushwah, Vishal Chauhan, and Akash Rajput. While two suspects were arrested in Indore, the third was apprehended nearby.
Dandotia added that the Meghalaya Police are currently interrogating these suspects and will determine the next steps based on the information gathered. The fourth suspect named Anand remains at large and is being actively pursued.
In a related development, Raja’s wife, Sonam, aged 25, has been located in the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. She had traveled to Meghalaya with her husband for their honeymoon but went out of contact after last speaking to her mother-in-law on May 23.
Authorities reported that both Raja and Sonam went missing on May 23, and Raja’s body was discovered in a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area (also known as Cherrapunji) on June 2.
Raja married Sonam on May 11 in Indore before embarking on their honeymoon to Meghalaya on May 20. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya Police is conducting a thorough investigation into Raja Raghuwanshi’s murder.
