According to police sources, on Sunday morning at 8 AM, it was reported that on Saturday night, the police were able to apprehend two traffickers in Dillai with approximately 9 crore rupees worth of suspicious heroin. The police stated that this large quantity of heroin was recovered during a regular checkpoint at 8 PM on Sunday night along National Highway 39 in Dillai, near the Assam-Nagaland border.

During a search operation on the night bus numbered MN 07 H0011 heading towards Manja from Dimapur, authorities successfully recovered 1 kilogram and 220 grams of suspicious heroin hidden strategically in the footstep of the bus, concealed within 100 boxes of soap. The search operation was led by Sub-Inspector Akash Gogoi from the Dillai police station Under Bokajan Sub- Division, with assistance from the station staff. Additionally, the heroin was seized under the direct supervision of Bokajan sub-divisional police officer Rustamraj Brahma, in the presence of impartial witnesses.
It has been reported that Amir Khan (34) from Manipur, involved in heroin trafficking, and his accomplice Chingamayum Sojat (25) have been arrested, and further interrogation is ongoing for additional information.
