In a surprising turn of events on Friday morning, Karbi Anglong Police in Dilai made a significant breakthrough by seizing suspected narcotics worth over 1 crore rupees. The remarkable discovery was made during a standard police checkpoint operation on National Highway 29, specifically at the Six Mile area within the jurisdiction of the Dilai police station.

The operation unfolded at approximately 11:30 AM, when officers stopped a six-wheeled truck with the registration number AS 01 MC 0639. The vehicle, which was en route from Manipur to Guwahati, was subjected to a thorough inspection, leading to the discovery of 12 packets of suspected drugs cleverly concealed within the truck’s dashboard. The seized consignment reportedly weighs an impressive 11 kilograms and 500 grams, attracting an estimated market valuation exceeding rupees1 crore.
The truck’s driver, identified as Amit Singh, has been detained for his alleged role in transporting this illicit cargo. The consignment was seized under the vigilant supervision of Bokajan Sub-division Police Officer Rustamraj Brahma. Furthermore, a case has been registered in this regard, and the investigation is ongoing, according to police sources.
