
In Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya, a tragic accident unfolded on Monday night when a truck ran over three pedestrians, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, Borlin Marngar and Jobinshon Marngar, both from Nongjri Village. The incident occurred in the Umsohlang area of Umsning. Local police suspect that the truck was driven negligently and fled the scene before any identifying details could be captured.
A third person, Rangbashlur Malih, also from Nongjri, sustained minor injuries and is receiving treatment at a nearby health centre.
