
The northeastern states’ Chief Ministers expressed profound grief over the passing of Ratan Tata, a distinguished industrialist and Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group, who died on Wednesday night at 86.

Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged Tata’s monumental contributions, highlighting the conferral of the “Assam Baibhav,” the state’s highest civilian award, to him in February 2022.
