In response to the ongoing foundation work for the Cycle Factory Flyover, the Guwahati Traffic Police has issued a new traffic advisory effective from August 19, 2024. The advisory aims to streamline vehicular movement in the city and mitigate traffic disruptions during the construction phase, which now extends from the Cycle Factory to Barsapara Junction.

Key changes include:
One-Way Route: The road segment between Birubari Tiniali and Barsapara Tiniali will operate as a one-way route, allowing vehicles from Arya Nagar or Birubari Tiniali to move towards Barsapara Tiniali.
Phased Reopening: Upon completion of the initial construction phase, the stretch from Birubari Tiniali to the Cycle Factory point will reopen for two-way traffic.
Redirection of Traffic: Vehicles approaching the Cycle Factory from Lalganesh will be redirected at Barsapara Tiniali. These vehicles must take Kula Basumatary Road, pass ACA Stadium, and continue to Dhirenpara Tiniali on A.K. Dev Road. From there, drivers can turn either left towards NH-27 or right towards Ambari Tiniali/Fatasil Chariali.
The advisory is designed to alleviate congestion and ensure safety on the roads during the construction phase. Drivers are urged to adhere to the new routes and regulations to facilitate smooth vehicular flow. The changes will remain in effect until further notice.
