On Friday, a cabinet meeting of the state government was held. After the meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the decisions at a press conference, stating, “Mathematics graduate teachers will be appointed in schools. A total of 1,766 mathematics teachers will be appointed. Additionally, 221 positions will be filled in polytechnics and engineering colleges. Furthermore, 221 individuals will be appointed to third and fourth-grade positions.”

Today several important decisions were made during the state government’s cabinet meeting. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the inclusion of 16 new villages in the BTR. He also mentioned that decisions regarding the inclusion of an additional three villages will be made later based on their population.
It is noteworthy that decisions regarding small businesses are also made in the cabinet. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “A decision has been taken in the cabinet concerning the issuance of GST notices. Notices will only be sent if the tax value exceeds 5 lakh. Small businesses with a tax value below 5 lakh will be exempt. This decision is in accordance with GST section 161. Small businesses will also get relief from previous notices.”
