Police have seized a significant quantity of marijuana again in Choraibari, Karimganj. The cannabis was confiscated from a rubber-loaded truck (with the number PB 65 AV 7496) en route from Tripura to Haryana.

Under the leadership of the officer-in-charge Pranab Mili at the Chorai Bari police checkpoint, the police conducted a routine search and seized 449 packets filled with cannabis from a truck. The packets of cannabis were cleverly hidden inside rubber sacks. From these packets, the police confiscated a total of 1317 kilograms of cannabis.
The police have reported that the seized cannabis is valued at approximately three crore rupees. The driver and the assistant driver of the truck had planned to transport the cannabis from Tripura through Assam to Haryana. The police have identified the driver and assistant driver as Balbir Singh and Vijay Kumar, respectively, both of whom hail from Punjab. The police have already registered a case and initiated an investigation.
