Congress leader Rahul Gandhi praised the Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday for their successful execution of ‘Operation Sindoor,’ a precise military strike targeting terror infrastructure across the Line of Control in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Gandhi took to the social media platform X, declaring, “Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!”

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge echoed this sentiment, expressing profound appreciation for the military’s actions. He also posted on X, stating, “India has an unflinching National Policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and PoK. We are extremely proud of our Indian Armed Forces, who have struck terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. We applaud their resolute resolve and courage.”
Emphasizing national unity in the wake of terrorism, Kharge noted that the Indian National Congress has stood firmly with the Armed Forces and the government since the devastating Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, including a Nepali national. “Since the day of the Pahalgam Terror Attack, the Indian National Congress has categorically stood with the Armed Forces and the Government to take any decisive action against cross-border terror,” he added.
The call for solidarity comes at a crucial time when national unity is deemed essential. Kharge stated, “National Unity and solidarity is the need of the hour, and the Indian National Congress stands with our Armed Forces. Our leaders have shown the path in the past, and National Interest is supreme for us.”
Operation Sindoor, launched in the early hours of Wednesday, was described by officials as a calculated and restrained military response. The Indian government reported that all nine high-value targets linked to terror groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba were successfully struck, with no damage noted to civilian or Pakistani military infrastructure. This operation aimed to hold those responsible for the attack accountable while maintaining restraint to prevent further escalation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior officials closely monitored the operation’s progress throughout the night, ensuring careful coordination. This decisive action reflects India’s ongoing commitment to countering terrorism and enhancing national security.
As discussions around national policy and military strategies continue, the support from political leaders further solidifies the commitment to a unified front against terrorism in the region.
The successful execution of Operation Sindoor marks a pivotal moment in India’s response to cross-border threats, reiterating the government’s stance on terrorism while safeguarding national interests.
