The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Guwahati has forecasted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and moderate to intense rain for Kamrup Metro. This weather event is anticipated to affect isolated areas within the district during the later half of the afternoon and evening on Friday, August 23.
According to the IMD’s forecast, most regions in Assam are expected to experience moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning over the next few days. The weather warning extends to neighboring states, including Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
