In a significant anti-narcotics operation, Karimganj police seized one lakh Yaba tablets, estimated to be worth Rs 30 crore, and apprehended two suspects. The operation, conducted in the Gandharaj Bari area of Karimganj district, followed specific intelligence reports.
Police intercepted a vehicle and discovered the tablets concealed within it.The detained individuals have been identified as Nazmul Hussain and Mutlib Ali. Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, praised the police via the social media platform ‘X’ for their effective efforts in combating drug trafficking.
