In an inspiring tale of determination and perseverance, Ramlal, hailing from the small village of Ghosunda in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district, overcame numerous challenges to achieve his dream of becoming a doctor. Married at the tender age of 11 while still in Class 6, Ramlal was thrust into adulthood early, becoming a father at 20. This marriage was arranged by his parents, who initially resisted his desire to pursue education. Nevertheless, Ramlal was resolute in his ambition to continue his studies and carve a path for himself in the field of medicine. His wife, though only educated up to the 10th grade, played a pivotal role in supporting his educational aspirations, driven by his vision of becoming a doctor.
Ramlal excelled academically, scoring 74 percent in his Class 10 exams and opting for the Science stream thereafter. His journey toward clearing the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), India’s most challenging medical entrance examination, commenced in 2019. He achieved a score of 350 in his first attempt, reflecting his dedication and commitment to improvement. Determined to enhance his performance further, Ramlal joined a coaching center in Kota.
With unwavering resolve, Ramlal improved his score with each attempt, culminating in a commendable score of 490 in the NEET 2022 exam in his fifth attempt.
