Electing to bat first, India’s innings got off to a shaky start when captain Shubman Gill was dismissed for a mere 2 runs by Blessing Muzarabani. However, Abhishek Sharma and Ruturaj Gaikwad steadied the ship under challenging batting conditions.
The duo showed tactical acumen as they navigated through the initial overs, taking India to 36/1 at the end of the powerplay. Their partnership, marked by a blend of aggression and stability, went past the 50-run mark by the 8.1 over.
