The Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to run two new summer special joyride train services in Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) section for tourists.
The joyride train services will run between Darjeeling and Ghum stations from April one to June 30, 2022 for 91 trips, according to release issued by NF Railway here.
The NF Railway has also decided to run another one way special train from Agartala to Jammu Tawi to clear extra rush of passengers.
The Darjeeling–Ghum-Darjeeling new summer special joyride will depart from Darjeeling at 11:35 hours to reach Ghum at 12:15 and will return to Darjeeling at 13:15 hours.
Another train will depart from Darjeeling at 13:45 hours to reach Ghum at 14:25 and will return to Darjeeling at 15:30 hours.
These trains will have four first class chair car coaches each for the benefit of tourists.
The passenger flow increases during summer in the DHR section as the toy train, an UNESCO World Heritage, is a major attraction for tourists visiting the Himalayan town.
The Agartala–Jammu Tawi one way special train will leave Agartala on March 29, 2022 at 19:00 hours on and will reach Jammu Tawi at 10:00 hours on April one, 2022
