
It was an electrifying Saturday evening with packed stands on both the north and south sides, as fans cheered on the home team, Morning Star Football Club , in their Day-3 match against Jaipur Elite FC in the prestigious I-League 3, Group-D at the Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) playground. Football enthusiasts of all ages, from young to old, gathered to witness the thrilling match

The first half was challenging as both teams struggled to find their rhythm. However, in the 24th minute, forward Kevisanyu Penseyie, wearing jersey number 18, scored a brilliant goal with an excellent assist from Komolson Rongphar, giving KAMSFC a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, KAMSFC came out with renewed vigor, and Kevisanyu scored again in the 47th minute, once more assisted by Komolson, making it 2-0. This bolstered KAMSFC’s confidence, and forward Singdoulien Khongsai, wearing jersey number 14, added another goal in the 61st minute, putting KAMSFC in a strong position. Despite Jaipur Elite FC’s best efforts to launch counter-attacks, they were unable to score due to KAMSFC’s solid defense. Finally, forward H. Robinson Khongsai, wearing jersey number 30, sealed the victory with a fourth goal in the 67th minute, securing a 4-0 win for the home team KAMSFC.
Earlier, in a 2 PM match, Keinou Library & Sports Association (KLASA FC) Manipur and Mumbai Kenkre FC played to a thrilling 1-1 draw. Kangkabam Lanngamba Singh scored for KLASA FC in the 8th minute, while midfielder Atharva Ashish Rewale equalized for Mumbai Kenkre FC in the 82nd minute, after coming on as a substitute in the 78th minute. The exciting match was attended by the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang, and other dignitaries.
Notably, KAMSFC is on a winning streak, having won two consecutive matches, including today’s game. In their first match, they defeated Mumbai Kenkre FC with a score of 3-1. The next match is scheduled for September 9 at 7 PM against KLASA Manipur.
