An unfortunate incident occurred in Diphu, the headquarters city of Karbi Anglong district! The death of an auto-rickshaw driver who fell into a well has cast a deep shadow of grief over the area. According to received information, this evening, the Diphu Police were informed of a person’s death after falling into a well in the AGC Colony nearby Diphu. Following the news, a police team led by Officer Kishore Barua from Diphu Police Station, along with a team of well mechanics specialized in rescue operations, arrived at the scene of the incident.
Arriving at the scene, the police and rescue team were able to recover the body of a man from a well about 80 feet deep. According to the information provided by the family, the deceased was Tenzing Hanse (35 years old), a resident of the Rongpangri AGC Colony in Diphu. Tenzing Hanse had been missing since last Sunday.
This morning, the family members went to fetch water from the well and discerned the smell of a corpse, which they later confirmed to be that of Tenzing Hanche. It was revealed that Tenzing Hanche worked as a driver by profession. The police have recovered the body and it has been sent for examination by the executive magistrate, alongside a post-mortem to inform the family of the findings.
