On Thursday afternoon at 4 PM, during a police operation in Khatkhati, a young man was arrested with intoxicating drugs, narcotic tablets, and Tramadol. Based on confidential information, a police team led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rustam Raj Brahma of Bokajan sub-division and Officer-in-Charge Romen Bordoloi of Khatkhati Police Station conducted the raid in the Karagaon Garden area under the jurisdiction of the Khatkhati Police Station.
The team apprehended Sanjiv Meitei (34), the son of Nilchandra Meitei, from the Golaghat district’s Sarupathar Police Station area. They seized 39.980 grams of drugs, 735 Simplex tablets, and 504.970 grams of Tramadol, which were hidden inside four soapboxes. The narcotics recovered today were confiscated in the presence of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer.
