On Thursday, security forces seized a significant quantity of heroin in the Barpathar area, acting on undisclosed information. A team of guards successfully apprehended two drug traffickers. The contraband was concealed in a vehicle with registration number AH-13-F-5257, heading towards Golaghat from Dimapur.
The traffickers were attempting to transport 60 packets of plastic bags containing 726.05 grams of heroin. The estimated market value of the confiscated heroin is approximately 4 crore rupees, as confirmed by Barpathar authorities. The two arrested drug traffickers are identified as Khan from Imphal and Ikbal Ahmed.”
