BJP legislator from Sootea, Padma Hazarika also joined the team of Forest officials with his domesticated elephant, Ramu after the Assam government sought his expertise in tackling the crisis. Hazarika has expertise in dealing with problematic elephants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal congratulated Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika for successfully capturing the wild elephant Monday that was creating havoc in Goalpara district for past few days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In a statement, Chief Minister Sonowal said that MLA Padma Hazarika\u2019s feat in capturing the wild elephant is highly praiseworthy.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;As a true public representative, the MLA offered his help to the forest department to provide succor to the people who were living under constant fear of attack by the wild tusker.
