{"id":70350,"date":"2022-04-11T19:34:47","date_gmt":"2022-04-11T14:04:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/assamtimespost.in\/?p=70350"},"modified":"2022-04-11T19:34:47","modified_gmt":"2022-04-11T14:04:47","slug":"four-dead-after-consuming-mushrooms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assamtimespost.in\/?p=70350","title":{"rendered":"Four dead after consuming mushrooms\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"> <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-69836\" src=\"https:\/\/assamtimespost.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/logo_new-2-1-1-4-1-3-4-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"151\" height=\"40\" title=\"\"> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"color: #800000;font-size: 24pt\">F<\/span>our persons, including two children, have died at Dibrugarh&#8217;s\u00a0 Assam Medical College Hospital on Monday after consuming mushrooms in Charaideo district recently, an official said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #ff0000\">Eight people had fallen ill after eating mushrooms at Laltipathar village in Sonari town of the district on April six and all of them were admitted to the AMCH in Dibrugarh in a critical condition.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;color: #ff0000\">Four of them, two women and two children, died early today while the others are still in a critical condition and battling for their lives.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The dead include 35-year old Rima Karmakar and her 10-year old son Ajay Karmakar, 32-year old Jonaki Praja and 12-year old Chayanika Karmakar.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">\u00a0All the affected are women tea garden workers and their children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The women had picked up the mushrooms while returning from work in the tea gardens and had cooked it for their children and themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">They complained of stomach ache and vomiting since the evening of April six and was initially taken to\u00a0 Charaideo Civil Hospital but as their condition deteriorated, they were shifted to AMCH.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Four persons, including two children, have died at Dibrugarh&#8217;s\u00a0 Assam Medical College Hospital on Monday after consuming mushrooms in Charaideo district recently, an official said.
