Students of Haflong Government College in Assam on June 8 locked the institution\u2019s main gate and staged a protest demanding transparency in the evaluation process and a fair allocation of marks in recently declared examinations.<\/span><\/h5>\n

The demonstration began after students raised concerns about the integrity of the results and sought action from university authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Protesters alleged that a large number of candidates received unusually low scores in the results, with some students reportedly awarded single-digit marks. Several students also said they have not yet received their mark sheets.<\/span><\/p>\n

The group said they submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor of Assam University on June 2 through the Deputy Commissioner of Dima Hasao district, requesting rectification of the alleged discrepancies and asking the university to take appropriate action by June 6.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the students received no satisfactory response within the stipulated period, they intensified their agitation on Monday by locking the college\u2019s main entrance and holding a demonstration on campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

The protesters demanded re-evaluation of answer scripts, full transparency in the assessment process, and immediate issuance of pending mark sheets. They warned that the movement could escalate if university authorities do not address their concerns promptly.<\/span><\/p>\n
