The storm\u2019s powerful gusts were so strong that they assumed control of the ferries, leaving them stranded in the middle of the river for an extended period. The safety rope tied to one of the ferries was torn loose, putting the vessel in a precarious situation. According to eyewitnesses, the storm\u2019s fury was unprecedented, with winds howling and dust flying in every direction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a terrifying experience,\u201d said Rohan Borah, a local resident who witnessed the storm. \u201cThe winds were so strong that they could uproot trees and send debris flying everywhere. I was amazed that no one was injured seriously, given the intensity of the storm.\u201d Borah\u2019s account was corroborated by multiple sources, who described the storm as one of the most severe they had ever seen.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Assam government has issued a statement confirming that several ferries were swept away by the storm, and that rescue efforts are underway to recover the vessels and ensure the safety of those on board. The authorities have also assured the public that they are taking all necessary precautions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
