\u201cThe people of Mizoram have been waiting for this moment for 30 to 35 years, and we are proud to finally deliver on our promise,\u201d Shah emphasized in his address. This is not just an administrative change, but a testament to the Indian government\u2019s responsibility towards the people of Mizoram. The decision, driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demonstrates the government\u2019s commitment to the growth and progress of the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

The history of the Assam Rifles Headquarters dates back to 1890, when the first military camp was established in Aizawl. The relocation to Zokhawsang marks a new chapter in the region\u2019s development journey. Shah noted that the Modi administration has been working tirelessly to drive growth across the northeast, with initiatives in tourism, technology, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. The government\u2019s decade-long efforts aim to uplift the region, and Shah praised Prime Minister Modi for fostering peace and stability in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modi\u2019s commitment to the northeast is evident in his numerous visits to the region. Prior to his tenure as Prime Minister, Modi stated that previous Prime Ministers had visited the northeast only 21 times collectively between Independence and 2014. In contrast, Modi has made 78 visits to the region since taking office, underscoring his dedication to the area\u2019s development.<\/span><\/p>\n

The relocation of the Assam Rifles Headquarters to Zokhawsang is a significant milestone in the region\u2019s development story, marking a new era of growth and progress.
