A major focus is on flood mitigation, with plans for constructing new embankments and applying specific erosion control measures at Lakhimipathar. This move underscores the government\u2019s commitment to safeguarding communities against frequent flood risks.<\/span><\/p>\n

In healthcare, the government is set to enhance services by appointing additional doctors to the Amarpur Riverine Primary Health Center, ensuring better medical accessibility for residents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Agricultural development is another priority. A rice and mustard procurement centre is slated for Sadiya, promising to bolster local farmer income and productivity. Additionally, a dairy processing facility is scheduled for establishment at Dhola-Sadiya, enhancing the region\u2019s agricultural infrastructure. Efforts are also being made to solve land allocation issues for an agriculture cooperative managed by former ULFA members, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and reconciliation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of sports infrastructure, upgrades are planned for Bir Lachit Stadium and Kakopathar Indoor Stadium, which will enhance facilities for local athletes and promote sports development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Culturally, a statue of the revered artist Dr. Bhupen Hazarika will be installed at the Dhola-Sadiya Bridge, honoring his lasting legacy and cultural contributions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting also reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects in Tinsukia, such as flyover construction and road development efforts, indicating a broader agenda for improving connectivity and transportation networks in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n
