These protests, organized by the \u2018Hindu Sangharsh Samity\u2019, aimed to denounce escalating violence against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh and to demand the release of imprisoned ISKCON<\/a> member Chinmoy Das Prabhu. Protesters voiced concerns over the allegedly unjust arrest of Das Prabhu by the Bangladesh interim government, highlighting reports of his mistreatment, including deprivation of basic necessities.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Participants of the protest emphasized the stark contrast between the treatment of minorities in India and Bangladesh, pointing out that in India, minorities such as Muslims live peacefully. They vowed to continue their demonstrations until the ISKCON leader is freed and called on the Bangladeshi government, led by Prime Minister Md. Yunus, to cease its actions against Hindu communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

BJP Vice President Subal Bhowmik, who attended the protest, shared his apprehensions regarding the worsening situation for Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, noting a rise in attacks following the recent government change. He stressed that various organizations stood united in condemning these attacks and urged the Indian government to hold Md. Yunus accountable for inciting anti-Hindu sentiment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tripura, which has an 856-km border with Bangladesh, has seen increasing unrest as a result of these persecutions, with demonstrators burning effigies of Md. Yunus to express their mounting frustration and anger.<\/span><\/p>\n
