I<\/span>n a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the Bongaigaon<\/a> district, a high-speed accident involving an Ultra bus and a motorcycle claimed the lives of a local teacher and his daughter early this morning. The accident occurred at approximately 8 AM near the daily market in Sundukpara, situated along National Highway 17.<\/span><\/h5>\n

The deceased have been identified as Nasir Ullah Ahmed, a 47-year-old resident of Shalabari village and a teacher at the Bahalpur SFS School, and his 14-year-old daughter, Shehnaz Ahmed, who was a ninth-grade student at the same institution. Sources indicate that Nasir was en route to school with his daughter when the collision happened.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to eyewitnesses, the father-daughter duo was riding their motorcycle, bearing registration number AS-19 B\/4979, towards their workplace. At that moment, an Ultra bus, traveling from Dhubri to North Salmara with registration number AS-17 B\/7690, struck them head-on, resulting in their immediate deaths at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

The accident triggered chaos among bystanders, many of whom were understandably enraged. In a fit of anger, some individuals set the bus ablaze, leading to a swift response from local police and fire services who managed to extinguish the flames, although the bus was nearly completely destroyed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the accident, authorities retrieved the bodies of the deceased and transported them to the Bongaigaon Civil Hospital for post-mortem examinations. Subsequently, the bodies were returned to their school, where faculty members and students paid their last respects to the beloved teacher and his daughter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reports indicate that at least 13 passengers on the bus sustained various injuries in the accident. Among them, Anna Hussein, 35, suffered severe injuries and has been transferred to Barpeta Medical College for treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The shocking news of Nasir Ullah\u2019s passing has drawn numerous sympathizers from Bongaigaon, Goalpara, and Dhubri districts, gathering at his home to offer condolences to the grieving family. Known for his active involvement in various community organizations and events, Nasir leaves behind an elderly father, a mother, and a wife, all of whom are devastated by this sudden loss.<\/span><\/p>\n
