This two-day festival, running on November 15 and 16, is dedicated to celebrating the language, literature, and cultural heritage of the Bodo community. The Mahotsav\u2019s theme, \u201cPeace and Harmony for Prosperous Bharat,\u201d aims to promote unity and honor the indigenous Bodo cultural identity across Bodoland, Assam, West Bengal, Nepal, and other regions bordering Northeast India.<\/span><\/h4>\n

PM Modi Set to Enthrall at the Inaugural Bodoland Mahotsav in New Delhi: A Historic Celebration of Culture & Unity<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Special emphasis will be laid on showcasing the rich traditions and linguistic heritage within the Bodoland Territorial Region. The event also highlights the progress made since the Bodo Peace Accord of 2020, an agreement which brought an end to long-standing conflicts in Bodoland.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key sessions at the festival include discussions on \u201cThe Rich Bodo Culture, Tradition, and Literature Contributing to Indian Heritage and Traditions,\u201d focusing on Bodo language, literature, and customs. Another crucial session, \u201cChallenges and Opportunities of Mother Tongue Medium-of-Instruction under the National Education Policy 2020,\u201d will explore education in the Bodo language. Additionally, a thematic discussion titled \u201cIndigenous Cultural Meet & Building a Vibrant Bodoland through Culture & Tourism\u201d aims to boost tourism in the Bodoland region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attracting over 5,000 cultural enthusiasts, the event will see participation from across Assam, West Bengal, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and neighboring countries like Nepal and Bhutan. This celebration serves as a platform for cultural exchange and promotes the rich heritage of the Bodo community on a regional and international level.<\/span><\/p>\n
