Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, Amit Goel, disclosed that the scheme\u2019s orchestrator is a Bangladeshi national. \u201cSeven individuals have been detained in connection with an international organ transplant racket. The mastermind is a Bangladeshi,\u201d Goel stated to ANI.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key among those arrested is Russell, a pivotal coordinator between patients and donors. Also detained is a female doctor accused of conducting illegal transplants. Police revealed that donors and recipients were all from Bangladesh.<\/span><\/p>\n

The syndicate, deeply entrenched in Bangladesh, has been operational since 2019, charging a hefty Rs 25-30 lakhs per transplant. \u201cThey charged Rs 25-30 lakhs for each procedure. Both the donor and the recipient were from Bangladesh. This racket has been active since 2019,\u201d disclosed an official.<\/span><\/p>\n
