I<\/span>n the afternoon, around 2 PM, a severe fire broke out in Borlengari of Block 1 in the Khatkhati<\/a> police station area. According to the reports received, the fire resulted in the destruction of homes belonging to approximately 60 families. It has also been learned that during the incident, several gas cylinders exploded and one person was injured.<\/span><\/p>\n Upon receiving the news of the incident, Officer Romen Bordoloi from Khatkhati Police Station, the in-charge of Karagaon Outpost, and the Fire Brigade team arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. Meanwhile, the executive magistrate Simanta Basumatary, along with the Disaster Management and Mitigation team, was present at the location to assess the damage. It is suspected that the fire was caused by a short circuit.
