T<\/span>oday, election officials’ teams have set out for the 1,016 polling stations of the 6-Diphu (ST) Parliamentary constituency<\/a> of Diphu, which is the sole Constituency in the Hill District. They are carrying EVMs and other Election materials from the Election districts of Diphu, Bokajan, Hamren, and Haflong. Yesterday, Election workers were present at 201 polling stations.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Preparations in Full Swing as Election Teams Deploy to 1,016 Polling Stations in Diphu’s 6-Diphu (ST) Lok Sabha Constituency<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Today, election officers have set out for the Diphu Assembly Constituency with 221 voting centers and the Howraghat Assembly Constituency with 196 voting centers, carrying EVM machines and other necessary equipment from the strong room of ISBT in Diphu. In the 6th Diphu Lok Sabha constituency, there are a total of 1217 polling stations, with Bokajan having 203, Howraghat 222, Diphu 226, Rongkhang 172, Amri 140, and Haflong 254 polling stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Already, Election teams have reached 201 remote polling stations yesterday. Additionally, in Diphu-Howraghat, there will be 20 polling stations managed by female officers, and in the Bokajan constituency, there will be 25 such centers. In the Diphu-Howraghat constituencies, there will be 20 model polling stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

145 sensitive polling stations have been identified, and this time, two of the voting centers will be conducted by female officers at the Diphu Government Boys and Girls Schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a conversation with journalists, the District Election Officer and District Commissioner Madhumita Bhagawati<\/a> mentioned that all necessary facilities like medical kits, water, umbrellas, lights, and a pair of police personnel are being provided to the election officials assigned to the polling stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

She also noted that arrangements have been made for webcasting at 650 polling centers and special provisions have been implemented for differently-abled individuals and senior citizens above the age of 85, including the availability of wheelchairs.<\/span><\/p>\n
