Shah and Nadda are predicted to come into the city late this evening and will oversee a number of organisational meetings on Tuesday. However, there are no intentions for them to speak at any public gatherings or meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"A state BJP leader revealed that Amit Shah Ji and J P Nadda Ji will be meeting with state leaders on Monday night. The following morning, they will be visiting Gurudwara Bara Sikh Sangat and Kalighat temple. During the afternoon, they will be in meetings with state leaders, as well as various organizations, to evaluate the organization’s capabilities with an eye to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.<\/span><\/p>\n

Agnimitra Paul, BJP state general secretary, stated that the presence of the two highest-ranking leaders from the party demonstrates how important Bengal is to the central leadership. Later on in the night, they will be participating in a confidential event at the National Library before leaving for New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n

She stated that it was a clear sign of the great significance that Bengal has for the BJP’s leadership, as she had never seen both their top leaders visiting the region at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shah had aimed to win more than 35 seats in the West Bengal Lok Sabha. In the 2019 election, the BJP had gained 18 out of the 42 constituencies in the state. These important leaders visiting West Bengal has come at a significant time, as the party works to strengthen its organisation before the upcoming parliamentary elections.<\/span><\/p>\n

Disagreements within the party and members leaving have caused the BJP to suffer after the 2021 assembly election results were declared.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the 2021 assembly polls, Babul Supriyo, who was formerly a Union Minister, party MP Arjun Singh, and six legislators, including national vice president Mukul Roy, have all joined the TMC. The TMC achieved a resounding victory for the third consecutive term, winning 215 seats in the elections, while the BJP obtained 77.<\/span><\/p>\n
