This tragic incident occurred on Independence Day, while the nation and Assam were celebrating. Initial reports indicate that the husband fatally attacked his wife with a knife, resulting in her death from excessive bleeding.<\/span><\/h3>\n

It is reported that the couple earned their livelihood by selling vegetables. According to a neighbor who witnessed the incident, the couple had a heated argument that turned physical. The husband lost control and used a sharp knife to harm his wife. The woman, speaking to reporters, disclosed, “They were arguing while eating. We could hear bits of their conversation, but we chose not to intervene.<\/span><\/p>\n

The situation escalated slowly, and the husband struck the wife on her shoulder.” She continued, “The woman fought back and threw objects at him, but in a fit of rage, the husband stabbed her here,” pointing to her collarbone. She further explained, “I hurried to help the woman, while the husband ran away. I noticed some e-rickshaw drivers nearby and called out to them, urging them to apprehend him. Unfortunately, they refused to get involved in this chaotic situation.”<\/span><\/p>\n
